To protect Sakthi, who was mentally fragile, Siva had a doctor swap a different newborn from another ward into Sakthi’s bed while she slept. Later, when his own baby recovered, Siva told Sakthi the truth and returned the swapped baby to the doctor. That baby turned out to be the child of Anne (Anjali Rao), who died from a post-delivery fit after waking to find her baby missing. Siva then took that baby and swapped it again while Sakthi slept.
Hearing this, Sakthi accepts both children as her own, and the couple reunites, moving into Sakthi’s apartment. But Adhithi becomes possessive when Sakthi grows closer to Avanthika. The ghostly figure begins frightening Avanthika, making her feel insecure. Siva sees Anne as the ghost and realizes she is haunting Avanthika to ensure Sakthi cares for Adhithi.
